This job is not paid

ONE Sound FM are looking for a presenter and co-presenter to join us in August 2015!

Do you want to present radio to thousands of people at Lincoln’s ONE Event?

Working with ONE Sound FM is a great opportunity to explore the medium of radio, whilst attending one of the country’s oldest and most incredible annual Christian events.

Throughout there will be the opportunity to attend Big Top celebrations, seminars and the activities available during the day.

As well as working in a relaxed, but professional broadcasting environment, you’ll make new friends who share your enthusiasm for broadcasting and entertaining the event’s attendees.

We’re looking for a presenter to host the Dinnertime show from 5-7pm daily. You should be energetic, entertaining, knowledgable of current and past Christian music and prepared to interview event attendees, exhibitors, organisers and speakers. A couple of features should be planned for the show, as well as the flexibility to respond to the day’s messages and events, whilst informing listeners of the evening’s forthcoming activities.

We’re also looking for a co-presenter for the Breakfast show, 7-11am daily. You’ll be presenting with the Station Manager and Breakfast presenter, Oliver Needham, who’s worked with the station for several years. You should be prepared for the early start and possible late nights, recording content for the next morning’s show at the evening activities. Like the presenters, you should be entertaining, knowledgeable of current and past Christian music, and be prepared to speak with event attendees, exhibitors and speakers.

No previous broadcasting experience is required for either roles. An interest in radio broadcasting and the eagerness to learn is recommended!

Availability

Applicants should be available to be on site at the event from either the afternoon of Thursday 27th or the morning of Friday 28th August for studio training.

The broadcast starts at 10am on Friday 28th and concludes on Tuesday 1st September at 10pm.

Location

ONE Event takes place at the Lincolnshire Showground, Lincoln, LN2 2NA.

The nearest train station is Lincoln Central, approximately 5 miles from the Showground.

Event Discount for Volunteers

If you are accepted for the role, the base ‘Camper’ or ‘Event Pass for Day Visitors’ ticket cost for attending the event will be discounted, depending on the number of hours you volunteer for (this will be discussed on application).

20+ hours = 100% Camper or Event fee reduction 12 – 20 hours = 50% Camper or Event fee reduction

Accommodation, food, travel and any other additional costs will not be covered for these roles.

This job closed on 26 April, 2015 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
