We need a Programme Manager!
Early next year, we are about to launch a 24/7 online radio station in partnership with Barnsley College. The station will not only broadcast online, via our website, radio apps and smart speakers, but will also go out to the campuses around the college and university. That’s around 15,000 guaranteed listeners of staff and students each day.
The station is already attracting advertising, but we need someone to handle the day-to-day running of the station. If you have experience in broadcasting, or have a passion for managing creative projects, we would LOVE to hear from you!
The station will predominantly broadcast indie content through the day, and has a plethora of shows already on the books. Working alongside the college, we have a budget to work with to make the station better, and bills such as electric, water, gas aren’t an issue.
Based on the Lower Ground of The Old Mill Lane Campus in Barnsley, you will have access to two radio studios, and a state-of-the-art TV studio and control room to create visual content.
The job at the moment is voluntary, but we have been made aware that if the station can prove itself to be a viable, commercial win for the college, money may be put aside to fund staffing.
