YOUR TEAM:

Promotions coordinator Head of Digital content Digital/Broadcast assistant

You are responsible for overseeing, driving and developing concepts for:

-General show competitions e.g week long, weekend, one off. (day to day execution will be carried out by promotions coordinator) -Major Station promotions (anything 2 weeks or longer in duration – sponsorship – driving the ideas and ensuring they are executed to the highest standard possible. -Devising high quality digital sponsorship proposals for the sales team to sell -Thinking outside the box to create new sponsorship opportunities. -The added ‘extras’ to ensure general sponsorship's on Beat 102-103 exceed client expectation. PCAs need to be outstanding, incorporating impressive stats across our multimedia platforms. -Beat Fleet activity – coordinated by the Promotions coordinator who reports to Sponsorship & Promotions Manager. -Outside Broadcasts – booked and handled by promotions coordinator but S & P manager analyses and sees how these can be done better. Opportunities for new Outside Broadcasts. -Liaise with Head of Digital Content about all commercial content online – social media and Beat 102-103 website. -Sponsorship and promotions of nontraditional revenue streams: e.g Beat 102-103 Wedding Expo, Fairytale Festival, Beauty and the Beat. -Throwaway Competitions. These are a given and need to be handled correctly through the sponsorship and promotions department.

MAIN DUTIES -Driving the sales, programming and online teams to create and execute all promotions and sponsorships to the best of their ability. -Developing creative promotions that stands out from the crowd from initial idea right through to execution either on air, online or on the street. -Monitor and report on engagement metrics, continually showing the business value of creating engaging content. -Chairing a weekly creative meeting that inspires. (along with setting agenda and circulating minutes afterwards). Fostering the creative team to provide support; ensuring ideas consistently flow for creative content. -Managing all aspects of Promotional activity including budgeting of the activity. You will be the direct contact for the local sales team as well as the Company’s National Sales House. On each station promotion, you will be the link between all departments. Each department will be responsible for implementing their specific brief on time with the promotions department overseeing all and raising any concerns to the CEO. -Each major station promotion will be led by you and will have a core management team consisting of PD and or Head of station sound, lead sales executive, & additional Beat Fleet resource where required reflecting the complete station involvement in each station promotion. -Quarterly Planning of Promotional activity: ensure that promotions for any seasonal activity is developed and provided to both sales channels by at least a Quarter in advance. This will ensure best possible opportunity of being sold so as to maximize all seasonal activity. -Preparing all proposals and implementing the agreed brief regarding prizes and recorded proof of transmission. -Attending weekly Operations meeting and other sporadic management meetings where you will contribute, listen to others’ points of view and put forward your thoughts on all aspects of the business; not just your own department. -Attending sales meetings to update on promotional & sponsorship activity – post and preview. -Maintaining excellent product knowledge at all times. -Liaising with Programme Director and Head of Station Sound to agree on-air concepts and ensuring presenters are fully briefed (each Thursday is deadline day for the following week’s talk ups for website and on air screener). After each competition, it is your responsibility to ensure snoops are gathered from presenters and forwarded to client contact in as polished a presentation (PCA) as possible. -Ensuring all prizes are distributed in a timely fashion. -Developing and delivering presentations. -Maintaining excellent knowledge and interpretation of JNLR. -Involvement in client events when appropriate. -Representing Beat 102 103 as required. -Stock Take – Source and update promotions material for the Beat brand.

REVENUE -Strive to generate revenue from the promotions market, and at the very least ensure that costs do not exceed revenue. To this end, you will maintain a spreadsheet, detailing promotional activity and costs on a monthly basis. -Identifying opportunities to grow year on year revenue & customer base. -Monitoring performance against gains and losses. -Utilizing all research data to support the case for radio. -Monitoring competitive activity on other stations worldwide and across other media. -Supporting other members of the Team as and when required. -Adhering to the Company’s strict Credit Control policies rigorously. -Maintaining full and up to date contact details for all contacts associated with -Commercial Content.

SERVICE

You are expected to exceed client’s expectations when it comes to customer service, specifically in the following areas:

-Engage with all relevant personnel to ensure Beat 102-103 over delivers when it comes to commercial content. -Face to face contact with all key influencers where appropriate. -Prompt return of customer phone calls and e-mails. -Delivery of all requested information ahead of or at least on time. -Follow up contact after all promotional activity. -All documentation and administration maintained to allow other team members to adopt or access where required.
