Traffic Information Operator

A freelance and contract creative job at INRIX in London
Posted 11 March 2016, 9.09am est

INRIX media, the UK's leading provider of traffic and travel information to the BBC, commercial radio and television, has an opportunity for a traffic information operator to join their South East team, based in London.

The role involves handling 'jamline' callers, contacting many sources from the local CCTV control room to the police or relevant agency who maintains the road network and being responsible for collating this data in our custom-built database. The successful applicant will have the ability to handle a busy workload, dealing with a huge variety of resources, whilst understanding how to prioritise tasks. Excellent telephone skills are also very important to gain as much information from sources as possible. An excellent knowledge of the South East’s road network would be an advantage.

Shifts are likely to involve working on both weekdays and weekends, including early and late shifts.

INRIX is an internationally successful company and provides its employees with resources that are second to none. One thing you will immediately notice is that we are a close-knit team and work in a professional yet friendly environment.

If you enjoy working as part of a team but can also use your own initiative then INRIX media could be just the right place for you to work.
