Volunteer Breakfast Show Presenter
Established in 2010 6TR (6 Towns Radio) is a successful community radio station that broadcasts online from our studio in Burslem in Stoke on Trent. We also have a massive social media presence, we are one of the largest social media outlets in Staffordshire.
6TR (6 Towns Radio) is looking for a weekday breakfast show presenter (or team) to host the breakfast show Monday to Friday 8am to 10am (We may consider splitting this if we have applicants who are only able to attend certain days). You will be given the freedom to select your own music, features and guests. You should be bright and bubbly, and enjoy interacting with people, someone who can “hook” the listener in and keep them tuned into 6TR. You need to engage the audience and make the listener feel part of the station. When you are presenting the show you will be interacting with listeners who contact the station via social media, text or e-mail.
This position is open to an individual presenter or a breakfast show team.
If you have previous radio experience that would be ideal, but if you feel you have what it takes to be a great breakfast show presenter then we want to hear from you !
The successful applicant will be broadcasting live from our studio in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. Full training will be given, and you will have the opportunity to shadow a presenter to learn any skills required to meet this role. Basic computer skills is a must, but we can teach you how to use our playout system and studio equipment.
As a member of the 6 Towns Radio team you will also be required to attend volunteer meetings (every few months) and you also have the opportunity to help out at the many events we are asked to host each year.
