Magic Radio posts record national reach of 3.6m

Magic Radio, KISS, Absolute Radio and Bauer City Network all increase reach and share year on year following launch of new radio strategy

Magic Radio and KISS are #1 and #2 commercial radio brands in London

Bauer Media continues to dominate as the largest digital commercial radio operator and increases its overall share year on year in commercial radio

Bauer Media (inc Orion) posts a total reach of 17m listeners

Magic

  • Magic Radio shows significant growth nationally with record reach of 3.6m (+29% yoy)
  • Magic Radio is the number one commercial radio brand in London with 1.9m listeners

KISS

  • KISS UK increases audience to 4.9m (+6% yoy), whilst in London KISS 100 is the number two commercial radio brand (behind Magic) with reach of 1.9m (+2% yoy)
  • KISS Breakfast with Rickie, Melvin and Charlie is the number one commercial breakfast show in London with 879,000 listeners (+10% yoy)

Absolute Radio

  • The Absolute Radio network posts a 10% uplift in listeners to 3.9m
  • Absolute Radio and its decade stations also posts record listening figures of 30.6m hours (+19% yoy)

Bauer City

  • Bauer City Network increases its total reach to 7.1m (+7% yoy)
  • BC1 records a reach of 6m (+13% yoy)

Digital listening

  • Bauer Media continues to have the biggest commercial digital radio audience, increasing listeners to 9.8m (+4.5% yoy)
  • 51% of total Bauer Radio listening took place via a digital device compared to the industry average of 40%
  • Absolute 80s and Kisstory are #1 and #2 commercial all-digital stations, both posting record audiences
