Kathryn Wilson leaves Cool FM after complaint

The radio presenter and club DJ Kathryn Wilson has resigned from Belfast broadcaster Cool FM, it has emerged today.
On Monday, Ofcom published the results of an upheld complaint to the station.
Ofcom described the programme to have contained "pre-recorded fabricated messages" from listeners, intended, said the regulator, as to be perceived as real-time contributions to the programme: which was, in reality, pre-recorded. In their ruling, Ofcom said:
In Ofcom’s view, the frequent broadcast of fictitious messages and requests for songs was intended to give the false impression that the presenter was responding to listeners of the programme who had accepted her invitation to contribute to it.
Yesterday, media.info's automated monitoring system flagged a change to Kathryn's Twitter description. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Cool FM's website had also removed any mention of Kathryn Wilson from the schedules.
A spokesperson for Bauer Media Group, who own the station, confirmed this morning that she has resigned and is no longer working for the station.
Kathryn has recently joined the Belfast Telegraph as a music reviewer. A recent column was posted to Twitter.
