With Star Trek celebrating its 50th anniversary this September, Premier Christian Radio is taking the opportunity to launch a special week of programming on its afternoon drive time programme Premier Drive, with a quirky look at outer space and Christianity.

Space Week will run from Monday 5th to Friday 9th September and features a wide variety of guests from the world of science, space, culture and entertainment.

The exciting line up includes the Pope’s Astronomer Brother Guy, Ralph Winter the Hollywood movie producer who produced some of the original Star Trek Films, The Star Wars Vicar Cris Rogers, the Bishop of the Moon Ken Clapham; and Hannah Earnshaw, an aspiring astronaut and Christian who’s signed herself up to go on a one way mission to Mars with the Mars One Project.

Space Week on Premier Drive is aiming to educate and entertain the audience on the universe and galaxy we live in, while at the same time exploring Christianity. In addition to this, Premier have teamed up with New Scientist Live to offer people the chance to win VIP tickets to go and see Major Tim Peake live at the end of September.

This has been a project that’s been nearly 2 years in the making, and Premier has gone as far as overhauling the home page of the website with a space theme to mark this special week of broadcasts.
