Ear Buds, Melbourne’s podcast network, is excited to announce that Queers will be joining its community of passionate podcasters.
Hosted by writers Benjamin Riley and Simon Copland, Queers is a show about the tricky questions in queer politics and culture.
“We talk about everything from pop culture, Safe Schools and the marriage equality debate, to more theoretical topics like identity politics and what it means to identify as queer,” says Benjamin.
“We joined Ear Buds to help introduce new people to the podcast, but also to become part of a growing community, allowing us to learn, share and collaborate. In our podcast we love to talk about the importance of community, and this is just as important for podcasters as it is for queers.”
Tim Hamilton, director of Media Creatures and creator of Ear Buds, believes Queers will be an important addition to the Ear Buds network.
“Benjamin and Simon have put together, not only a great podcast, but a useful resource—a considered, comprehensive yet accessible insight into issues affecting the LGBTIQA+ community,” he says.
“We’re excited to officially welcome them into our community, and look forward to working with them to make Queers even bigger and better.”
