Radio Yorkshire celebrates RAJAR debut

Digital music and sport station Radio Yorkshire posted its first ever set of RAJAR results debuting with 71,000 listeners per week.

The figures reflect the period between 5 January and 5 April 2015.

Radio Yorkshire, who launched in March 2014, this year re-launched their on air line-up, music policy and imaging. The station continues to broadcast its successful Leeds United and Rugby League commentary.

Director of Broadcasting Sam Brydges commented "We are delighted with our opening set of figures."

"Looking around the rest of Yorkshire, I think that result will turn a few heads.

"We have a vastly talented and dedicated team who produce great content on a daily basis, the music is sounding awesome too.

"A big thank you goes out to all of our lovely listeners."
