Sun FM is a local radio station serving Darlington and Richmond which launched on 27th March 2020, which is part of a quasi-local station which also broadcasts to Durham and Sunderland.
The station has been in recent times known as Star Radio North East, Rathergood Radio and Vintage Music Radio before Helius Media Group reintroduced the Alpha brand in 2019.
Nation Broadcasting acquired the station in March 2020.
