Macquarie Sports Radio is a sports talk radio station broadcasting to Melbourne, Victoria.
Launched in 1935 as 3XY, the station in its original incarnation closed on 23 September 1991. In July 1992, the station was reborn as '3EE The Breeze', with a hybrid format of easy listening, talk and AFL football coverage. By 1993, the format was replaced with the oldies music station 'Magic 693', later Magic 1278.
From November 2015, the station's programs were networked to Magic 882 Brisbane. In February 2017, the output of both stations were replaced with a simulcast of talk/advertorial station Talking Lifestyle. As Talking Lifestyle, the station had an audience share of just 0.2%, down from Magic 1278's final share of 2.9%.
On 4 April 2018, the station was relaunched again as Macquarie Sports Radio. The station will feature a local breakfast show - hosted by Tony Leonard, Tony Shaw & Jimmy Bartel - as well as syndicated coverage of the Melbourne Storm NRL games from Crocmedia.
