Facts and stats
WCBS-FM, otherwise known as CBS-FM is a classic hits radio station broadcasting to the New York Tri-state area encompassing New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The station in its current form first launched in 1972 and was then replaced by the automated AOR station JACK fm in 2005. A change of management saw the return of the classic hits format in 2007 with a playlist from the 1960s to the 1980s. This was changed in 2016 to largely 80s and 90s with some late 60s and 70s music. Currently, the decades featured are from the 70s-90s with a large 80s skew.
