Position: Broadcast Journalist – Pulse 1, Pulse 2, Pulse 80’s

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

You can make the headlines…

Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a talented broadcast journalist to join our news and sport team at Pulse 1, Pulse 2, and Pulse 80’s. Over the last few years our coverage has received nominations at the IRN Awards, O2 Media Awards and the Sport Journalism Awards and we’re looking for a top class journalist to continue our momentum. You will help to deliver engaging, relevant news and sport content across West Yorkshire; not only on-air via our 3 radio brands but across our online and social platforms too.

There’s plenty for you to get your teeth into, with a sizeable and diverse news patch and being part of Wireless Group there’s also opportunities to be heard on our sister stations: talkSPORT and talkRADIO.

Job Requirement: You will need to have a really great on air voice, a recognised journalism qualification, previous experience working in a broadcast newsroom, and a strong understanding of media law. You will embrace early mornings, be confident and able to contribute on air outside of news bulletins as you will be an integral part of our hugely successful Breakfast shows. A full driving license is essential as is the desire to work hard, build relationships and have the ability to manage your time well. You will be familiar with West Yorkshire and the surrounding area and have a genuine love for radio.

As a valued member of Wireless Group you will receive a competitive salary, benefit from an excellent pension scheme and receive 25 days paid annual leave.
