Freelance Broadcast Journalist – U105 Location: Belfast Wireless Group is a leading UK and Irish media company, which is wholly owned by News Corp UK and Ireland Limited. These include market leading stations embedded in their local communities as well as popular national brands such as talkSPORT, the world's biggest sports radio station, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio. What we’re looking for-:

Would you like to work for U105? We're currently looking for freelance broadcast journalists to join our news team. At U105 we deliver a high standard of local news across Northern Ireland. Applicants should have at least one year’s experience working as a journalist, have a strong, confident broadcasting voice and excellent news judgement.

  • Successful applicants will also have a recognised journalism qualification and knowledge of media law.
  • They are expected to find and develop stories on a daily basis, conduct interviews, work to tight deadlines and respond to breaking news.
  • These positions involve creation of online content and proficient use of social media. Professional training will be provided on all systems and equipment.
  • The roles will be based at our offices in Belfast but may require travel outside of the city.
