Facts and stats

Radio Caroline is a British radio station with a rich heritage in offshore pirate radio, which originally launched in 1964 and operated until 1991 from the North Sea.

During the 1990s, a series of short term RSLs (Restricted Service Licences) were operated until a satellite service with a full schedule launched across Europe from a studio in Maidstone, Kent.

The station went Internet only in 2013 with occasional RSLs and also provides a time delayed service for the United States. Caroline is also participating in the small scale DAB Digital Radio trial for Norwich and Portsmouth.
